How To Run WhatsApp On Your Desktop Computer?

WhatsApp is a really cool messaging app that lets you send messages and chat with your buddies absolutely free of charge! It is the most popular messaging app for Android and iOS smartphones, and rightly so! It connects people from around the world. But the problem is, it's only made for smartphones. You can't use it well on older/feature phones. And even if you do own a smartphone, it drains away your precious battery time, since it needs internet connectivity to do its thing. Well if you're like me and don't want to let battery timing get in the way, there's a solution! You can install and use the app right from your desktop computer!

What is WhatsApp?

WhatsApp is a free messenger designed to be used on smartphones. It works over the internet and allows you to talk to any person living anywhere on planet Earth provided that you know their cellphone number. The app is designed for Nokia Symbian, iPhone, Android and Windows Phone devices and it’s completely free to use for the first year. Don’t let that last line bother you, since there are ways to get it for an unlimited time.

I did not mention PC or Mac in the supported platforms because this app is not officially available on them. But the title wasn’t misleading since we got it running on a PC and Mac.

What will I need?

The tools or rather software that you need is a simple Android emulator for PC/Mac. The one we’ll be using is the well-known Bluestacks App Player you can download from the link provided below.

And yes, WhatsApp will need your cell-number so you better make sure you have one.

Your system must have a 1GB+ RAM for running the emulator. Good graphics card and processor will obviously result in better rendering but a simple one would also do. Mac OS X or PC with XP SP3, Vista, 7 and 8 are supported.

Let’s Begin…

The steps shown below work for both PC and Mac. Just make sure you download the correct version of Bluestacks.

• First up, download and install Bluestacks app player. It’s a straight forward installation. However it might want to download extra stuff so your internet connection better be working
• Run the player from the desktop icon. You’ll get to a screen similar to the one shown below

• Click on the Search icon and enter WhatsApp
• Select WhatsApp Messenger from the list and proceed to the installation. It might also ask you for a Google account, just provide that right away. Since it is an Android emulator, you’ll be navigated to Google Play. Click Install and it’ll start the download.

• And that’s it! WhatsApp will ask you to enter a valid phone number. The verification will also work through that number so you better enter it correctly.
• Great! Now you can use WhatsApp the way you do it on a smartphone. You can customize your profile, contact all your friends regardless of which platform they are running the app on and also get live notifications of new messagesfrom the emulator.

You can open up the app form the My Apps category in the main screen.

So why WhatsApp?

There are several other such messenger services available on the same platforms. You have Viber, Wechat, Kik and whatnot. Firstly, WhatsApp is the most popular app of the lot. Secondly, WhatsApp has got everything - you can communicate text, images or even high quality videos with friends. Plus, it’s simple and easy to use. And if your one-year free license expires, you can always reinstall the app to get it back.

WhatsApp is not officially released for PC/Mac but there are ways like the one mentioned above that make that happen. The methodology is simple but works quite well. WhatsApp is also the best of its kind which makes it a must-have. Just in case you were wondering throughout this tutorial, YES you can run any android app/game on the software mentioned. SYSKEY is a utility that encrypts the hashed password information in a SAM database in a Windows system using a 128-bit encryption key.

SYSKEY was an optional feature added in Windows NT 4.0 SP3. It was meant to protect against offline password cracking attacks so that the SAM database would still be secure even if someone had a copy of it. However, in December 1999, a security team from Bind  View found a security hole in SYSKEY which indicates that a certain form of cryptanalytic attack is possible offline. A brute force attack then appeared to be possible.

Microsoft later collaborated with Bind View to issue a fix for the problem (dubbed the ‘Syskey Bug’) which appears to have been settled and SYSKEY has been pronounced secure enough to resist brute force attack.

According to Todd Sabin of the Bind View team RAZOR, the pre-RC3 versions of Windows 2000 were also affected.

So this is pretty cool, right?  Well, I really like the idea of keeping this on Floppy so that it requires a floppy disk (a sort of 2 factor (hardware/software) authentication?).

Naturally I wanted to go a bit further and use this on a USB drive instead of storing to a Floppy.  I can’t see myself carrying a floppy and a USB floppy drive around with me.  After all, this provides another layer of security.

NOTE:  I haven’t tested copying data from 1 USB to another USB to see if it works as a backup.  This way you could lock up a USB drive as a spare if needed.

Here’s how to get this to work using a USB drive.

1.  Insert your USB drive into your system and wait for it to be recognized and install any necessary drivers.

2.  Fire up disk management and re-assign the drive letter it was given to “A”.

Start up disk management by clicking Start and typing diskmgmt.msc

Right-click the USB drive and choose to assign driver letter or path.

Assign it to letter “A”

Accept the warning message

Now your USB drive is “A”

3.  Run Syskey and save encryption to USB Drive “A”

Click Start and type syskey followed by hitting Enter

Syskey launched; Click “Update”

Choose “Store Startup key on floppy disk” and click “OK”

You’ll be prompted to enter your diskette. Make sure your USB drive is inserted and writable.

4.  Reboot and have fun.  Don’t lose your USB disk!  Also, to revert this, you can run syskey again and choose to store it locally instead of “on a floppy disk”.

Today I’m going to tell, how you can use any other SIM in IDEA NET SETTER and then you can access upto 2mbps via that USB Net setter

Step 1 : Download UNIVERSAL MASTER CODE (software) by THL

Step 2 : Now take your USB modem and see its back , you will see a 15 digit number and that’s your modem’s IMEI number .
Open notepad and type that IMEI no.

Step 3 : Now double click on the downloaded file of Universal Master Code and extract it then click on Universal Master Code.exe

Step 4 : In the IMEI number field of Universal Master Codetype , enter the IMEI number which you have already typed in notepad and press calculate.

It will generate a flash and unlock code.

Step 5 : Now connect your USB IDEA net setter and install net setter software from there and run it and also put a non IDEA SIM.

It will ask you for unlock code , also it will show u have 10 attempts ,simply put the unlock code generated from universal master code
And press enter while u have unlocked your IDEA net setter

Now for creating new profile go to Tools > Options > Profile Management and click new
Type APN supported by your sim (eg – for BSNL use bsnlnet as apn  ) , leave everything as it is and you can connect easily after that. Enjoy !!

FACEBOOK HACKING USING SOCIAL ENGINEERING:

Social engineering is the best non technical way to hack Facebook. No matter how strongly Facebook have secured their system and pages, it can be hacked by Social Engineering.

Here is an example for you, What do you do if you really forgot your own password?? Well, you try to recover it. Now when you try to recover it using the forgot password link, the site asks you for some information of yours. They ask you your date of birth, a security question etc. When you enter all those details of yours, the site resets your password and you are ready to go. Now using the same technique you can hack anyone’s account. All you need to have is the details of the person like the date of birth and answer of the security questions. You can take it from the victim by casually asking some questions over chat; you have to play with human psychology here. So if you are smart, you can easily hack the account using social engineering without any technical knowledge. I have hacked uncountable accounts using Social Engineering.

Step 1: Note down what information you will be requiring by going and clicking the forgot link on the site (Yahoo, gmail, facebook etc)
Step 2: Take those information from victim using social engineering skills.
Step 3: Goto the site. Click in forgot password link and enter the details you have gathered from victim, so that the site thinks that your are the owner of the account.

Step 4: You are done
